Isaac's Preschool Needs YOUR HELP!! Vote Today!

(Isaac and Jacen playing on the narrow sidewalk)

(Lucy in the empty playground)

Isaac's preschool has entered into a contest to win $10,000.00! The school is in desperate need of playground equipment. As of now, they only have a short sidewalk to ride bikes up and down, a fenced play area (originally intended for a playground, but the funds were never made available to the preschool), and a teeny-tiny sandbox, which you will see in the video. So the school needs your help! You can vote 3 times a day, everyday until July 22nd! So, please help us out!
Here is the link: http://www.lots2give.com/Vote2.aspx#top

Find the Yucaipa Adult School Parent Education Program video and click on the "View and Vote" button, then click the "vote for this video" button 3 times! And try to do it everyday until July 22nd!
Isaac's preschool program is one of the best! And, it is affordable! Isaac's teacher Mrs. Kim is a wonderful, experienced teacher. It isn't just a preschool, it is also a parenting class, where the parents are given opportunities to learn different skills and ways to be better parents. Isaac and I both learned so much from this program. Please vote!

7 Year Wedding Anniversary

TIME FLIES WHEN YOUR HAVING FUN (and kids)!
This is a picture of the 2 of us while we were dating (8 years ago). (Duane is on his tip-toes).

Our wedding day, June 22, 2001, Los Angeles Temple

7 years
2 kids
2 Bachelors Degrees
1 Masters Degree (almost, this December)
1 house
An eternity of happiness (corny, huh?)

Sunday was our 7 year anniversary. To celebrate we ... went on a date! Yipee! We haven't been on one of those for quite a while, so we really enjoyed it. Thanks to Grandma Mosher, we had a whole night without the kids. I think that we missed the kids more than they missed us. :)

Transformers: More than meets the eye!

Since Isaac has become interested in Transformers, I have become quite proficient in assembling and disassembling the Transformers from cars to robots. I think there needs to be a contest between us moms to see who can do it the fastest!

Four Generations

Great Grandma (Colleen), Grandma (Adele), Mom (Jill), and daughter (Lucy). Four generations!

Grandma Olson has a BLOG!

We set up a blog for grandma while she was here in California. The link is there on the right!

Sweet Tooth!

These pictures are from a couple of months ago, but I thought that they were worth sharing.

Lucy licking the stirrer piece of my kitchenaid following making cookies.
Duane and Lucy having a late-night snack.

Lucy loves anything sweet! She is my chocoholic. She also has the Land family curse of loving soda pop. Isaac is more a cheese guy. He loves those dairy products (which includes ice cream).

Isaac's Pre-K Graduation

Isaac was walking in with the rest of his class (what you can't see is him giving us a thumbs-up, it was so cute!).

Isaac and his good buddy Tanner.

Isaac and his good friend Morgan.

All of the kids were presented with a graduation flower, that they went to to hit eachother with after they received them.
Isaac and his teacher Mrs. Kim. She is a wonderful teacher. We were very fortunate to find the program and this teacher. We can't wait for Lucy to be old enough to get in her class.

Isaac's class learned the Pledge of Allegiance this year. We are all so proud!
Yesterday Isaac had his preschool graduation. Aren't they all so cute?! We are very proud of Isaac, he has come a long way this year and is ready for Kindergarten to start in August! He has learned so much more than just the regular preschool things! We had a great time watching graduation, all of the kids did so great!

Adele and Duane after being inducted into the honor society.

Our family after the induction ceremony.
Duane and his parents Donna and Don after the induction ceremony.

Duane and Adele were both inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society last Friday. We are all so proud of them. They have both worked so hard since being in school. And this just proves all of that!

Lucy's Silly Sleeping Habits

Last night Lucy slept-walked her way halfway to our bedroom, but must have tired herself out before getting all the way there. So this is how I found her at midnight last night. What a sweetie!

Two nights ago while at Grandma Mosher's house, Lucy fell asleep eating a hotdog, and she didn't want to let it go. I guess she was saving it for later. :)

Great-Grandma is here!

Great Grandma Olson is here! And the kids are loving it! Lucy especially is attached! She cuddles up with Grandma every chance she gets. We've got to soak in as much of grandma as we can before she goes back to Idaho.

I spy ... Isaac and Lucy! See if you can spot them!

Yesterday I was working in the office when I heard Isaac calling my name. I went to my room to investigate. And to my surprise, I couldn't see him. What I did see was my newly laundered clothes lying in a heap in the middle of my bedroom. That was when I noticed my clothing breathing! Yes, it was breathing, and laughing! Oh well, they were having fun. I guess I better fold my laundry a little faster.
