Sunday, Primary, Closing Prayer

This last Sunday, Isaac was asked to give the Closing prayer in Primary. I had been mentioning it all week, and his reply was always, "Yeah!". Well when Sunday came around, I was asked to substitute teach for the 8-9 year old class. So it worked out well, I would be in Primary to help him if he needed it. Sharing time and music time went well, Isaac even got to go "fishing" for a song during music time, and he got to pick his favorite song (Book of Mormon Stories - especially the verse about Ammon). So when the time came for him to give the closing prayer, I figured, I would wait and see how he did, and if he got shy, I could jump up and go help him. So when they called him to give the prayer, he jumped up and said (more acurately, shouted) "I'M HERE!" So, he made his way up to the front and stepped up to the pulpit. He seemed to be doing fine, so I waited. We all closed our eyes, and everything was quiet ... then ... "DEAR HEAVENLY FATHER!" ... "OH! THAT WAS LOUD" ... (meanwhile, myself and all of the teachers were laughing (very quietly, mind) very hard). Then, in a slightly quieter voice, "Dear Heavenly Father ..... " and he finished the prayer. As funny as it was, I was so proud of him! He did it all by himself and he did really well too.
Oh, how I love these moments! They are too good not to share.

Isaac's Preschool Needs YOUR HELP!! Vote Today!

(Isaac and Jacen playing on the narrow sidewalk)

(Lucy in the empty playground)

Isaac's preschool has entered into a contest to win $10,000.00! The school is in desperate need of playground equipment. As of now, they only have a short sidewalk to ride bikes up and down, a fenced play area (originally intended for a playground, but the funds were never made available to the preschool), and a teeny-tiny sandbox, which you will see in the video. So the school needs your help! You can vote 3 times a day, everyday until July 22nd! So, please help us out!
Here is the link: http://www.lots2give.com/Vote2.aspx#top

Find the Yucaipa Adult School Parent Education Program video and click on the "View and Vote" button, then click the "vote for this video" button 3 times! And try to do it everyday until July 22nd!
Isaac's preschool program is one of the best! And, it is affordable! Isaac's teacher Mrs. Kim is a wonderful, experienced teacher. It isn't just a preschool, it is also a parenting class, where the parents are given opportunities to learn different skills and ways to be better parents. Isaac and I both learned so much from this program. Please vote!

This is a picture of the 2 of us while we were dating (8 years ago). (Duane is on his tip-toes).

2 Bachelors Degrees
1 Masters Degree (almost, this December)

An eternity of happiness (corny, huh?)

Sunday was our 7 year anniversary. To celebrate we ... went on a date! Yipee! We haven't been on one of those for quite a while, so we really enjoyed it. Thanks to Grandma Mosher, we had a whole night without the kids. I think that we missed the kids more than they missed us. :)

Transformers: More than meets the eye!

Since Isaac has become interested in Transformers, I have become quite proficient in assembling and disassembling the Transformers from cars to robots. I think there needs to be a contest between us moms to see who can do it the fastest!
